Game Titans!

For those who dont know, I am a huge football fanatic and my favorite pro team is the Tennessee Titans... Ohh Yeah Im rolling with the home team and have been since I can remember. We have had some pretty big setbacks in previous seasons. It seems like after every step forward we were knocked three yards back. This year I feel the making of a new beginning and very optimistic. We have won our last two games against the Denver broncos and the Baltimore  Ravens. The only game we lost was our season opener in a down to the wire game versus the Jaguars. Now, I will admit that our wins have not been the prettiest but they are steps into the right direction. We have the Browns and then the Steelers up next and I feel extremely comfortable with my team heading into those two games. I know it is early and anything can happen in this long and unpredictable season but I see us having a nice playoff run this year and who knows maybe a championship run? That would make my year!... Really, it would. So to all you other team lovers out there beware of the mighty Titans this year because we are coming to fight til the end. Titan Nation Stand Up!

College Concerns

My biggest concerns about college is not that I will fail nor is it that the work will become too stressful and become overpowering of my life. My main problem is how much time it will take me to receive a degree. This is my third year of college and I am just now starting on my major. In most cases this is the norm, but that isn't the case in architecture. In the architecture department classifications run different from the rest of the university's; it is first year arch, second year arch, third and fourth year arch. That isn't including the two years of grad school and also your classification in the university plays no role. So if you are a junior entering the program then you still have to go through the entire process. Well that is the way I understand it anyway. I am now twenty with a twenty-first birthday approaching and I cannot feel as if I will not be receiving my professional degree until I am twenty-six or twenty-seven years old... that's not whats up people! I am very much hoping that I am assuming all the wrong things and it doesn't take that long or if it does it blows by so quickly that I don't realize how long it has been.

Back to football

Dear Bloggers, I am beyond excited that football is back in full action now... I love watching it on all levels from high school to college and of course the NFL. The NFL lockout ended about a month and a half ago but it was one the worst periods of the summer for me. Just the idea of no football and no Tennessee Titans was killing; I would have spazzed out. Now it is back to game winning catches and breath taking hits... What's not to love? Even though the collegiate level of football was never in jeopardy its great to be able to watch them compete also. Sometimes their games are far more exciting to watch. I believe it is because of the urge to prove themselves to the pro scouts that are watching, after all competition for a job is motivation to go above and beyond. Even if you cant relate to football I know anyone can relate to that. So, to all my sports enthusiast out there enjoy the season.

Fitness Junkie?

Dear Bloggers, I have come to the realization that I am becoming a fitness junkie. I have gotten to a point to where if I don't work out my day is thrown off. I have not reached the strict diet and healthy eating stage yet though... thank God! Don't get me wrong I like being in shape, being healthy and staying active. In fact I would like to encourage any of you guys and girls out there to do so too, I mean it is the healthy thing to do. It is just I do not want that to run my life or become my identifier. I know most of you out there are going to read this and think why not just stop going to work out. Well its not that simple, I am not addicted to it or anything but the thing is up until college I was a sports guy and a part of me won't let go, so I believe that working out keeps me connected to being an athlete again. Maybe I am blowing all of this out of proportion or maybe not but I think it would be good to hear some of your takes on this situation. I am looking forward and open to any advice given or diagnoses declared... let me have em.

Time Management

Whats up bloggers, over my first week of this school year one thing that I have really learned is how important it is to manage your time wisely. The normal first week consists of the following: back to school parties, games and events on campus and basic introductory days in the classes. At least thats what I always am looking fwd to. This year all of the previous mentioned things happened but most of my intro days where replaced  with jump right in you have work due the next meeting days. Its been a crucial week because I've started in my major this year, Architecture and design, and hitting your due dates are critical. It has been taking all of my time, one small day of no work at all puts me behind deadline for one of five projects due Wednesday and that is just in one of my four classes. I cannot afford to fail these courses but it has been hard replacing my social time for classwork time this early in the year. But I have to do it if this what I want to do in life. If I set aside 2 hours to work on a project it turns out to be a 4 to 5 hour thing and trust me when I say that is not intentional but it is better than putting these assignments off like some of my classmates who are thinking the last minute scramble to get things done is going to work ...not this time! Remember this bloggers, time management can be the difference between a headache and smooth sailing...
